“YOUR GIFT OF BLOOD IS A PROMISE OF HEALTH AND RECOVERY TO OTHERS”
A blood donation camp was organized by Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research in association with Rotary Club of Faridabad East and Rotary Club of Faridabad Excellence.
The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Vikram Singh (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad and Guest of Honour Dr. Ashok kumar, Civil Surgeon, B.K. Hospital, Faridabad along with the Chairman SRCDSR & Rtn. Sh. Dharamvir Gupta (Director Health of RCF East) and Secretary, SRCDSR & Rtn. Mr. Deepak Gupta (Zonal Chairperson for Blood Donation), Dr. Garima Gupta (Medical Director Shanti Devi Memorial Hospital), Principal SRCDSR Dr. C M Marya, CEO SRCDSR Dr. Vishal Juneja. Faculty members in the Organising Committee Constituted of Dr Bhavna Gupta, Dr Meenu Singla, Dr Mansha Bakshi , Dr Karuna Joshi, Dr Yogita Sharma , Dr Sudha Jha and Dr Bharat Sharma. Rotarians from RCF Excellence and RCF East were also present to motivate the students for Blood Donation. From RCF Excellence Rotarians who graced the occasion were Rtn Vikas Garodia (President RCF Excellence, Rtn Sharat Chandra (Secretary RCF Excellence), Rtn Siddharth Singhal, Rtn Sumit Garg, Rtn Prashant Gupta , Rtn Vikram Gupta, Rtn Deepak Prashad (Director Community Services) .From RCF East following Rotarians contributed to the occasion, Rtn Ajay Gupta (President,RCF East), Rtn Ashu Laul ( Secretary RCF East), Rtn H.L Bhutani, Rtn Shami Kapoor, Rtn R.S Gandhi, Rtn N.D Nagpal, Rtn Virender Makhija, Rtn Subhash Kumar, Rtn Mahender Mehtani , Rtn Rajesh Mahajan, Rtn Deepak Thukral, Rtn Rakesh Garg, Rtn SC Tyagi , Rtn T.R Arora, Rtn Prem Pasricha & Rtn Sandeep Chandani.
A motivational guest lecture was also given by Rtn. HL Bhutani (District director blood donation and Thalassemia Care) and Rtn. Deepak Prashad (Director Community Services) to motivate students and staff to come forward for the noble act of donating blood.
A team of doctors and nurses came for collection of blood. Many volunteers including students and staff of Sudha Rustagi Dental College had volunteered for donating blood. A certificate of appreciation, medal, Photographic mugs & refreshment were given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
A total of 111 Units of blood was donated by volunteers, faculty, staff and students. Team of RBTC, Civil Hospital, Faridabad and Rotary Blood Centre, Faridabad collected the blood donated. Blood donation camps like this are a way of bringing a ray of hope to contribute to the serious problem of acute shortage of blood. It is a great service or contribution to the society and people living in it. Overall, the event was a huge success.
