About the Department
“Increasing the life span of teeth by prevention and restoration” is the main motto of the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics. The specialty of Conservative Dentistry deals with prevention and treatment of disease and injuries of the teeth. Here, diseased or fractured teeth are restored with restorative materials that are biologically acceptable and esthetically pleasing. Whereas Endodontics deals with prevention and treatment of pulp and periradicular diseases and this specialty particularly strives to save an infected tooth and maintains its integrity in the dental arch.
The Department has been functioning since the inception of this institution in the year 2002. The Department currently offers graduate training leading to Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Post Graduate training programs leading to Masters in Dentistry (M.D.S.) awarded by the Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health sciences, Rohtak. The curriculum is structured according to the Dental Council of India and Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health sciences accreditation’s requirements and the program is fully accredited by these statutory bodies. The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is situated in right and left wing of the college on the second floor.
Infrastructure
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is situated in right and left wing of the college on the second floor.
- It is spread over 10,000 sq. feet with a separate pre-clinical section, undergraduate and postgraduate clinical sections. The department contains 43 electronic dental chairs
- A separate surgical endodontic clinic
- 2 sterilization rooms
- RVG room
- A fully equipped seminar hall with multimedia facility is available for conducting seminars
- A small departmental library is adequately stocked with textbooks, which can be referred to by everybody.
- The preclinical undergraduate section is equipped with simulators and phantom heads and students are trained on both extracted natural teeth and ivorine teeth. The students are trained and guided at each step by highly qualified and dedicated faculty members.

Dr Prashant bhasin is Professor & Hod at the department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics. He has a vast experience of around 18 years in the field of dentistry both as an academician & clinician with a lot of research on his name. He has been invited as guest faculty both at national & international platforms USA, CANADA, Brazil, DUBAI, SHARJAH, and MEXICO. He is always keen to learn & share his experience with students & delegates with a prime focus on the latest advancements in the field of Magnification Enhanced Dentistry & latest materials to provide best patient care and good learning for future doctors

Dr.Meenu has more than 22years of academic and professional experience as a root canal specialist and a restorative dentist. She believes in treating the patients with a conservative approach with minimum intervention. Her expertise is treating complex root canal anatomies, re-RCTs, negotiation of calcified canals, managing cases of perforation repair, specification and broken instrument retrieval under magnification. She is also a master of restorative procedures inlays, inlays, endo crowns, esthetic procedures like veneers and smile designing.
