Contemporary Facial Aesthetics: A Shift from Surgical To Minimally Invasive Surgical Practiceon 22nd Jan 2025
As today’s world increasingly prioritize aesthetics, facial harmony and balance crucially impacts an individual’s self-esteem. In the field of dentistry, the oral and maxillofacial surgeons specialize in performing procedures that enhance facial appearance. To address this newly developed area of interest and increase awareness among budding and practicing dentist, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Science and Research organised a symposium on ‘Contemporary Facial Aesthetics: A Shift from Surgical to Minimally Invasive Surgical Practice’on 22nd Jan 2025.
The program was conducted under the supervision of Mr DV Gupta (Chairman), Mr Deepak Gupta (Secretary), Dr. CM Marya (Principal) and Dr Vishal Juneja (CEO). Under the able guidance of Dr Ashish Gupta (Professor & Head of the Department) the whole department comprising of staff (Dr Pankaj Bansal, Dr Sneha Sharma, Dr. Saurabh Bhardwaj and Dr. Basudha Mukherjee) and postgraduates worked tirelessly to plan and execute the symposia and the demonstration and hands-on session. The program was attended by Heads of various Departments, faculty members, students and interns.
To address the gathering and impart the new skill an eminent speaker and a seasoned practioners Dr. Piyush Sharma (MDS, EAFPS, FHNS) a Senior Consultant at QIN MU DENTAL hospital Shanghai, China was invited. Dr Sharma enthralled the audience with the breadth of his knowledge in the given field, he talked about the various Surgical and Non-Surgical treatment options that can be suggested to the patients for varying concerns. The lecture was followed by a Q& A session along with a very compelling demonstration and a Hand-On session for the participants. By the end of the symposia the students and faculty members had gained new experience and information regarding the concerned topic.
